This photograph is part of my series Skin and Nylon. Usually I feature more dynamic and more modern scenes in that series, but I wanted to take the chance and try out how it blends with something more static, looking more like a statue. I liked the result.
It is one of the very few photos within the series that I made in black and white. This was to give it a classic touch, a classic feeling. Most of the other photos in the series are in color in order to underline the modern aspects of the photos.
On photo #0382 you see Emily wearing a white pantyhose over her shoulders. The Indian model Nitu is laying in front of her, mostly invisble for the camera, stretching her hands towards Emily's belly and her private parts.
For Nitu we simply cut off one leg of a white panty hose. It was not easy to keep the nylon from rolling up towards Nitu's hands. We did not fix the nylon on her arms or anything. We rather tried to make it "somehow" stay on her arms and shoot the photo very quick before it is rolling up again. On the photograph you can see how Emily supports the edge of the panty hose leg pressing her right knee against Nitu's arm.
Yes, this photo was probably much more complicated for the models than it seems at first glance. But all in all it did not take too long to produce it, probably 20 minutes all together.
In case you think it is a pity that you can't really see Nitu on photo #0382, I wanted at least to provide you with a portrait of her in this text. That's why I included #385 here as well.
