How to choose the best shutter speed for DSLR video 

Everybody is talking about the great cinematic look that you can give your videos when you are shooting them on your DSLR. However, the look does not come by it’s own.

You need to have certain settings on your camera dialed to suitable values in order to come anywhere near the look of a motion picture camera. The obvious setting is your frame rate. Of course. Choose 24 fps for cinestyle. That’s a no brainer. But one thing that a lot of videographers get wrong is the shutter speed that you need to use in order to make your vid looking like good old 35mm.
