Wedding Photography Market in Beijing
Last week Friday we had a national bank holiday in Germany: “Tag der Deutschen Einheit”. Emily and I used this opportunity to fly over to Beijing for this prolonged weekend.

In China this weekend was a golden weekend because of the Chinese national day on October 1st. A whole lot of Beijing citizens like to visit tourist places and recreation spots in nature on such weekends. That’s why the roads towards places like Badaling (the great wall) were so jammed that they were more looking like giant parking spaces. Emily and I preferred to stay within the center of the city. There were not traffic jams at all. This way we had enough time to visit places like the market for wedding photography. Zillions of Beijing based wedding photographers buy there everything they need for their glamorous shootings: all sorts of camera equipment, flashes, reflectors, wedding dresses, accessories, wicks, hair-parts, lakes, makeup, magazines and much more. And all of that at a very competitive price. Altogether we spend approximately EUR 150,- on the following items: a sexy wedding dress, long gloves, a synthetic fur stole, 20 makeup brushes, 10 pairs of lashes in Shu Uemura butterfly style, 2 sets of bling jewelry, 2 sets of hair decoration, 5 hairpieces, a 160cm foldable reflector and a foldable softbox for the flash EX580. Emily and I believe that EVERY people photographer would have a lot of fun going visiting this market while bringing a huge empty suitcase with him. And he could do so every day between 10:00 and 18:00.
After that we were fully equipped for making a couple of photos with two nice models. We had the pleasure to meet up with WenWen and AiMei. With each of them we made a couple of photos in our hotel room. I will upload them over here in a couple of days.
Finally a friend of ours kindly invited us into the VIP area of a posh and huge sauna. Over there we had a wonderful time. This concluded another really great weekend in Beijing.
I wish you good light!
